CBRM accepts expressions of interest from individuals, businesses and organizations for surplus municipal properties located across the municipality.

These are NOT tax sale properties.

If you already know the Parcel Identification Number (PID), you can go directly to the Surplus Property Application to express interest.

If you do not know the PID, use the map to locate the property and proceed to the application from there.

Review Process

Each request is reviewed individually to confirm:

  • Zoning compliance
  • Land use considerations
  • Public Works possible concerns
  • Other municipal considerations

CBRM reserves the right at its sole discretion to approve or reject any offer, or modify the terms of any offer if it is deemed to be in the best overall interest of the Municipality.
