Stormwater is rain and melted snow that can soak into the ground, pool on the surface or flow across land to low-lying areas or storm drains.
Stormwater infrastructure, like storm drains, is designed to direct water to natural drainage systems such as brooks, rivers and streams.
Stormwater is managed as part of the wastewater system in the CBRM.
